Hey guys, this is Dexter!! Today is my last day staying in this guest house. I have spent amazing time here, so I have decided to write a review about my stay in this Kimchee Guesthouse that located in Seoul, Korea, just to show my support to the guesthouse owner.
You know, I traveled a lot. Find a good accommodation in a country you have never been to before is difficult. First, you have to check the location area you want to stay in. For me, I always choose the accommodation location that nearby the city centre. Booking.com is where I used to find my accommodation online. Somehow, using filters and search, this guesthouse name came up to the top. It has absolute amazing review scores. Of course, what I'm concerned is the price and the location, these factors will affect my decision making.
Surprisingly the price is reasonable, not so expensive for a solo traveller, 100,000 won for 4 nights sharing the room with other 7 persons. The location is strategic, 6 minutes walking to the subway station (Gangnam Gu Office), and it is near to those big entertainment agencies in Seoul like JYP, SM and LOEN Entertainment. This is the reason I came to Seoul isn't it? To experience the Korean entertainment culture? I mean why not? This is the perfect place for me to stay. Without hesitation, I made the booking immediately.
The day I arrived to the guesthouse, I was welcomed by a female receptionist with a big smile. She helped me to check in. At first, she asked me if I was sure to stay in a 8-persons mixed dormitory. I was confused about the question, but when she took me to the dorm, I understood immediately. There were a group of girls staying in the dorm. It was kinda awkward, it seemed like I was gonna spend 4 nights with this group of girls in the same room. I blushed my face.
No, I should not stay here with the girls and share the same bathroom. After having a thought, I decided to change my room to the single room. The receptionist said I was right, it would be kinda awkward to live with the girls even they dont mind about my existence. Obviously, I had to add some money to upgrade to the single room. I paid another 50000 won for that, so in total I have paid 150000 won for 4 nights.
The single room was just perfect for me. It is a little small sized, but it has everything I need. The room has air conditioner, fridge, hairdryer, online TV and most importantly private bathroom. I can say I enjoyed so much staying alone in this room in this Kimchee Guesthouse. Although the name of this guesthouse is kinda hilarious (i mean cute), but it definitely provides the best quality services. I guess I will come back to this Kimchee and stay longer next time. Shout out to Sam (staff of the guesthouse)! Thanks for being friendly to me! :D
